The world you imagine

“la Caixa” Foundation / Communication Campaign and Spot


We were lucky to envision a better world, hand in hand with ”la Caixa”. A science communication campaign that is an ode to imagination and to the sometimes-forgotten values of childhood that can drive our society to a brighter future. Because as Carl Sagan said, “Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it, we go nowhere.”
The challenge was to create a science communication campaign to capture the vision of the fellowships and investigation programme of “la Caixa” in a video (spot). This programme supports the best talent and research projects with real impact and value for society and facilitates real change and innovation to build a better world.
Science is often seen as cold, distant and unimaginative but it is in fact only through the most phenomenal imagination that scientists have made our society reach its most unbelievable dreams.
We believe science is a thrilling adventure and that it has its roots in our capacity to imagine and to do good. It is when we are kids that we build this capacity to imagine and we experience the world as a boundless canvas and it is sometimes when we grow up that we lose this ability to dream.
We created a communication campaign to claim back the power of imagination and the sense of adventure and to communicate that anything we imagine in science is possible. But first, we have to imagine as a society and realize that we can imagine a better world, and thus create a better world, hand in hand with the most talented scientists.
This video is used in a science communication campaign to disseminate this programme and the values of “la Caixa”. It is part of the communication campaign “the world you imagine”.
